The Broncos signed free agent tackle Anthony Clement on April 26, 2005. Clement, 6-8, 337 pounds, enters his eighth NFL season and first year with the Broncos after playing seven seasons with Arizona, which selected him in the second round (36th overall) of the 1998 NFL Draft. He has played 82 career regular-season games with 70 starts.

The 29-year-old Clement played all 16 games for the Cardinals in 2004 with eight starts at right tackle. He became a full-time starter during his second NFL season and started 45 consecutive games from 1999-01.

Clement started the final 33 games of his collegiate career at left tackle for Southwestern Louisiana (now Louisiana-Lafayette) and was named first-team All-Louisiana by the state’s sportswriters as a senior.
