Here at the 49ers’ infirmary – otherwise known as the team’s Santa Clara headquarters – the injury news just kept on going from bad to worse Monday afternoon. “I hope you’ve got a couple of pencils, because you’re going to run out of lead,” coach Steve Mariucci said when it came time to discuss his injury list. Topping that 15-player list is Jimmy Williams – the NFC’s leading punt returner – who is gone for the season with a blown-out knee.
