Niners may not have Stokes vs. Seahawks

Sprained MCL could put J.J. Stokes on shelf		By Craig Massei Date: Oct 7, 2002 Just when J.J. Stokes was becoming a legitimate weapon in the 49ers passing attack, the team may have to do without him on Monday against the Seattle Seahawks. Stokes has a second-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, and the standard recovery time for such an injury is 1-4 weeks. "The most concern we have with anybody remains with J.J. Stokes," Niners coach Steve Mariucci said Monday. "He may not be available this week."
