49ers fill out their practice squad roster

After trimming their roster to 53 players on Friday, the 49ers named eight to their practice squad, including LB Bruce Davis, who was signed during camp.

The San Francisco 49ers announced their eight-player practice squad on Sunday, all of whom were cut when the team announced its 53-man roster Friday.

Here's the list of players the 49ers signed:

QB Jarrett Brown, FB Jehuu Caulcrick, LB Bruce Davis, WR Kevin Jurovich, T Matt Kopa, LB Keaton Kristick, S Chris Maragos, DT Will Tukuafu.

Brown played only a few snaps on offense in Thursday's final preseason game but made a special teams tackle. Davis, Jurovich and Wukuafu were signed during training camp.

Notable players who were not signed include DT Khalif Mitchell, FB Brit Miller and WRs Bakari Grant and Bobby Guillory.

Practice squad players earn $5,200 per week and can sign with another team at any time during the season without compensation.
