49ers FA Blog 3/5/10 Update 3
Harris shouldn't expect a big offer
Harris shouldn't expect a big offer

A 35-year old corner coming off an ACL-tear isn't typically a hot free agent commodity, and 49ers UFA Walt Harris won't be an exception to that rule.

However, the team will still kick the tires with him, give him a full workout and medical exam to check on the status of his knee and may very well bring Harris back - at the veteran's minimum.

Ultimately the biggest factor on what the team decides to do with Harris - besides his health of course - will be the contract negotiations with fellow UFA CB Dre' Bly. If the Niners can bring Bly back, then Harris becomes more expendable.
