The 49ers added to the receiving corps with their pick in the fourth round, drafting small-school receiver Quinton Patton, who put up huge numbers in his two seasons for the Bulldogs.

The 49ers went with value in the fourth round, taking the 6-0, 204-pound Patton. In his two seasons at Louisiana Tech he had 2,594 receiving yards and 24 scores.

Patton's stock has been on the rise since the Senior Bowl. He has good size, length and is a high character person.

Patton ran a 4.53 40-yeard dash at the combine and has good hands. His overall production made him a great value pick at 128 overall.

The wide receiver will have to battle with Kyle Williams, A.J. Jenkins, Marlon Moore and Mario Manningham to get on the field in his rookie season.
