What will Chicago address in the draft? The Bears need 'backers and some more offensive linemen.

2013 draft picks:
1st round (20), 2(50), 4(117), 5(153), 6(188)

Chicago has had quite the off-season. They have a new head coach in Marc Trestman. That in itself brings new energy and enthusiasm to the club. One a downer, one of the Bears' all-timers, Brian Urlacher, is now a free agent and he and Chicago would seem to be parting ways.

Then there's free agency, where the Bears made a nice run, securing some veterans while filling some needs, particularly for the offense. They had a hole at tight end and they signed Martellus Bennett. Perhaps their biggest need was on the offensive front. There the Bears inked tackle Jermon Bushord and guards Eben Britton and Matt Slauson. In Trestman's system it's a quick passing attack and they have to keep quarterback Jay Cutler upright and healthy. It was his health or lack of, that cost Chicago a shot at the playoffs in 2012.

Now the Bears will look to address more needs, especially on defense, with the draft this coming week.

Draft Needs
1) Middle Linebacker
When you think of the Chicago Bears you think of great defense. For this team to be truly great they need to address some issues at linebacker. Even if Urlacher was back in a Bear uniform he's not the same and on the backend of a glorious career. New blood is needed and Chicago will have an early opportunity on Thursday. At. No. 20 overall the Bears will likely have their pick of the litter at middle linebacker between Alec Ogletree, Manti Te'o and Kevin Minter. Kiko Alonso should be available in round two while guys like A.J. Klein and Jon Bostic should be around in the middle of the draft.

Chicago could also use a strongside linebacker. This is a position they could address, perhaps as early as the second round. There are a whole bunch of quality players.

2) Offensive Line
Regardless of what they did hear the Bears still must address their offensive front. In the first round it will depend on who's still on the board. If tackles D.J. Fluker or Menelik Watson or guard Jonathan Cooper or Chance Warmack are still available, they could grab one of these guys. If not I would expect the Bears to draft at least one tackles and guard in this draft. Even with only five picks, they need to fortify the front.

3) Tight End
There's a chance that Chicago could grab the top tight end in the draft with pick No. 20. If so do they go Zach Ertz or Tyler Eifert? Then again, it's a pretty good year at this position if they elected to wait.
